The weather in September on Long Island is always a little bit unpredictable. Which is why we were thrilled to see blue skies the morning of Kaitlin and Paul’s wedding! If ever a couple deserved sunshine on their big day, it was these two. They are so very much in love, and so blissfully excited to share such a special occasion with their closest friends and family. It was a wonderful day to be a part of.

From the moment we arrived, the bride and groom were bubbling with excitement as they got dressed with their wedding parties. In sweet tribute to their families, they each chose to get ready at home. It was so much fun to photograph them surrounded by the people and things that had such an influence in their lives.

Then it was off to church! Their beautiful wedding ceremony and heartfelt vows left more than one guest dabbing away tears. When they were pronounced husband and wife, everyone there burst into cheers and applause. We were thrilled to be on hand to capture the giddy looks on the bride and groom’s faces!

When you’re a photographer given the privilege of working with such a beautiful couple, it’s tempting to keep them all to yourselves. We have to admit we did that as long as we could! In front of the church, in the Rolls Royce, wandering the beautiful grounds of Carlyle on the Green. Kaitlin, Paul, and their wedding party were so much fun to photograph! But too soon we had to return them to the rest of their guests. A party was just getting started that would last long into the night. Everyone there was having too much fun to go home. This was a party that was not to be missed!

Congratulations, Kaitlin & Paul!
